Housing

The housing market varies mostly due to the differences between the seven emirates. The majority of homes in the UAE are new or under 20 years old. In the city center, you'll mostly find apartments, and villas on on outer edges of the cities.

Schooling

Public schools are free for children through the university level.  Expatriate students are allowed to attend government schools, which have lower teacher-to-student ratios, for a fee.  Education is mandatory through the ninth grade, though it rarely enforced.
