Because of issues with public schools (large class sizes, lack of teaching materials, poorly-paid teachers) in the Philippines, most expats opt to send their children to international schools instead. There are quite a few available, mainly in or around Manila. However, education at these schools can be quite expensive.

Typical Costs

Average Cost

International school tuition starts at approximately USD 8000 per year, plus registration fees, textbook rental, and possibly other miscellaneous costs—costs can go to$22,000 or up.  An International Baccalaureate system is available.
